Choreographic Works
The product of a choreographic research process that has gone through various stages is shared below.
A path between memories, video dances, physical actions and a turkey prowl between these works.

Equívoca (In process)
May 2020
"Equívoca" is a solo in videodance format directed and performed by Fernanda Iazmin Durán Cruz.
This project aims to capture through the camera and the movement of the interpreter the creation of a safe and intimate space, a container of movement created from the practice of improvisation, experiences, memories, sensations and desires.
Using the neutrality and transparency of a naked torso, this project is reduced to a latent desire to dance in underwear, without limitations, without censorship.

Confinamiento Articulado
Abril 2019
Choreographer: Fernanda Durán.
Dancers: Pablo Barranco, Tais LeRoyal, Natalia Quezada.
Starting from the state of captivity as a motor of movement, the piece is developed in a game of powers between the spatial domain and the corporal freedom of the performers. A comparison is presented between the bodily limitations imposed in relation to space and other bodies. This piece offers the opportunity to be part of an atmosphere where indifference and freedom coincide.
Music: Nike by Pailune Oliveros, Stuart Dempster & Panaioitis; and Waking the Intonarumori by Pauline Oliveros
*This project was finalist in Primer Concurso de Composición Coreográfica Federico Castro*

#PrettyMeUs
Marzo 2019
#PrettyMeUs offers the opportunity to observe and be part of a distorted reality in a matter of minutes, where we present the contrast between the identity expression with which we grew up and with which we want to live, without limiting ourselves, without roles.
The #beautiful body, reflections, colors, brightness, textures, music and space vibrate on the screen, questioning and rethinking the #beautiful and #appropriate according to our binary society.

The Bounce
November, 2018
Chreographer: Fernanda Durán
Dancers: Claudia Perez y Mauricio Pichardo
This dance film condenses in 5 minutes fun explorations and movement creations based on the bounce, as well as the replacement of objects that bounce around the body itself. How fun is to bounce in a place you should be quiet?
Using as tools objects that by nature make us bounce, and using the bounce as a method to capture different visual effects through the camera. This dance film features two dancers, Claudia Perez and Mauricio Pichardo, exploring everyday movements that imply the bounce, movements that arose as a result of playful improvisation scores and finally translating a movement phrase previously created to the bounce.
Music: jatevee C by Autechre

1,2,3...5
Diciembre 2016
Choreography and interpreters: Fernanda Durán and Cecilia Durán
Musical arrangement and interpretation: Bruno Ruíz Reyna (Study XIV of Leo Brouwer and Lágrima of Francisco Tárrega).
Growth: Development and discovery of the reality that we suffer with the passage of time.
Life is more than a biological process made up of birth, development, reproduction and death. It is wanting, discovering, questioning, wondering and satisfying.
This work is the result of that questioning, reflections, memories and dreams ... manifested through games protagonists of the creative process of two infants playing to grow or dream, from loneliness.
