Artist Statement

My artistic expression seeks to be as free as my thought.I believe in individual freedom, in the body as a form of creation and means of expression through its movement. I believe in dance as a cathartic process.I create trough movement because I am a faithful believer that dance, as arts as well, is one of many forms with which we can change the world because art is a social invitation to the proposal and protest.Using theatrical and dance elements, in my choreographic work, feeling, provocation and surprise might be essential elements. I believe to offer the artist as well as the viewer the opportunity to be part of an atmosphere or process, in which they are free to feel, react and criticize what they see. Thereview may not always be positive, but even with the worst criticism, I will know that my work was able to provoke something to the public, although this feeling has not been entirely pleasant.
